On Thursday, April 18th at 6PM, we will host a Family Potluck and Holy Communion in the Lynnhaven UMC Social Hall.
This is an opportunity to experience the Last Supper like the disciples did: around tables, sharing a meal, serving one another.
After the meal, Pastor Brandon will tell the story of Jesus' last evening with disciples, and lead everyone through communion in a way that gives us an intimate understanding of what it would have felt like to be there with Jesus on his final night.
On Friday, April 19th, at 6:30PM, we will host a special viewing of the film "The Passion of the Christ" in the Lynnhaven UMC sanctuary.
This movie offers a powerful look into the last moments of Jesus' life, highlighting the depth of his suffering for us.
One of the best ways to understand what we are celebrating on Easter Sunday is to appreciate what truly happened on Good Friday.
WARNING: This film is very graphic. Viewer discretion is advised. It is not suitable for young children. Alternate activities will be provided for kids.
On Sunday, April 21st, we will host an Easter Sunrise Service down at the oceanfront.
We will gather at 6:30AM for a brief service worship service, watch the sun rise over the ocean, celebrating the Son who rose on Easter.
The service will take place on the beach in front of the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel, between 56th and 57th streets.
All who attend the service may enjoy free parking at the Wyndham for the duration of the service.
