About the event
We'll meet at Nimmo United Methodist Church (2040 Nimmo Church Lane, VA Beach, VA 23456) at 6:30 p.m. to harvest and we'll go for ice cream afterwards. Wear closed toed shoes, bring a water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them. This is a great activity for all ages! REGISTER HERE.
The Community Garden is a ministry of Nimmo UMC and is open to everyone who wants to grow and give fresh, healthy food to hungry people in Hampton Roads. From summer through winter, produce is picked and distributed by volunteers to those in need. In 2020, 3,135 pounds of organic produce was given away to people in the community. This labor of love is accomplished through many volunteers giving of their time, talents, service and gifts, and we're excited to be able to contribute. Come join us!
